  • Trevor’s tips for growing potted edibles at home:
    • Opt for sealed, lightweight pots to ensure they are practical for indoor use and help retain moisture.
    • Obtain a premium quality potting mix that’s rich in organics and nutrients and includes a wetting agent.
    • Fill the pots about ¾ full of potting mix. Ensure the mix is evenly distributed and packed gently.
    • Pests can sometimes be a challenge, so it’s good to add a variety of edibles that are highly pungent, as the strong scents will keep the most commonly found pests at bay.
    • Feed your herbs with a balanced, liquid fertiliser every few weeks to support healthy growth.
    • Use the second pot for rotation. Once herbs in the first pot are ready for harvest, you can switch pots to ensure continuous growth and harvesting.
